Coordinated Efforts need to Resolve Radical Extremism
The Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies committed to address global menace of violent extremism and contribute In Innovating Means to Resolve Radical Extremism in Pakistan.
In a meeting with Mr. David Knoff the Second Secretary Political of Australian High Commission at CPGS office-Islamabad cooperation in CPGS Project SALAM was discussed. Mr. Knoff expressed his kern interest in Project SALAM on Innovating Means to Resolve Radical Extremism in Pakistan. He was given a brief introductory presentation about the Centre, its objectives and ongoing project.
Mr. Knoff while commenting on the project SALAM said, “the project is well conceived and prepared and I hope it will produce the desirable results.” He said that there are different other organizations and think tanks working on same projects and what they are really lacking is a well implanted coordination mechanism.
Appreciating the efforts of CPGS in approaching international community, relevant stake holders and intellectuals to connect minds and brainstorm, Mr. Knoff said ” the CPGS commitment would make the difference and it is a quite organized and good start”. Mr. Knoffaffirmed that Australian commission will support, participate, and collaborate with CPGS through all possible means for a successful outcome.
