CPGS in House Discussion “The Afghanistan Mining Scenario and its Impact on South Asia”

An in-house discussion was organized by CPGS on 7th of July 2013 with Mr. Umer Sheraz, senior policy analyst on “The Afghanistan Mining Scenario and its impact on South Asia”. The in-house was chaired by President CPGS, Senator Sehar Kamran. Mr. Umer delineated   the aspects of Afghan mining scenario and called it a matter of important concern in near future which is likely to shape the future scenario of stability. Mr. Umer pointed out that the minerals mapped in Afghanistan is a game changer for next 5-10 years and this will evolve as new great game. He said that there is a need to sensitize the society and the relevant policy making circles as this topic is equally important for Pakistan as it is for Afghanistan. President CPGS Sehar Kamran said that peace and stability in the region is our main objective and CPGS in its ongoing project SALAM is looking towards a peaceful future for Pakistan in the region and world at large.
