President’s Message
CPGS has been established with a VISION to contribute towards regional and international peace, harmony and security through sustainable intellectual discourse on all matters which have impact on lives of inhabitants of this region and the world at large. Its objective is to encourage discussion among national leaders, intellectuals and academicians to accelerate social, political and economic development for the benefit of the people of Pakistan and the Gulf region.
Innovation has always been a core value of the Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies’ team. It is a proven fact that myopic vision, abstract thinking and traditional policy responses no longer yield lasting solutions in this complex world. CPGS works independently to analyze effective solution to various situations with a pragmatic approach.
CPGS is a trusted source of independent and expert knowledge. We are a community of analysts and academics, devoted to offer practicable options to the current pressing geopolitical challenges. CPGS offers in-depth analysis, fair-minded criticism, and fresh perspectives focused on results for the policymaking community – executive and legislative branches of Pakistan, foreign governments (especially of Gulf region) and organizations – as well as the media and concerned citizens.
We are committed to provide analysis that is both actionable and effective, with our primary areas of concentration devoted to enhancing cooperation between Pakistan (my beloved homeland) and the countries of Gulf region by assisting the policy makers with research and analysis based on facts and regional realities.
The message is simple and transparent; we aim at Innovating a Future, in which security, stability and prosperity would prevail through robust relationship between Pakistan and the countries of Gulf region and beyond. For this, we undertake studies, discussions, research and analyses based on all available sources with a view to formulate short, medium and long term policies on vital internal and external issues.
