National Media Workshop Delegates Visit the Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies

Remarks at the Senate of Pakistan, 20th April, 2015.
Islamabad 21 April, 2015: The members of the National Media Workshop Seven (NMW-7) visited the Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies (CPGS), today. The delegation was given an introduction to the Centre and the CPGS team. They were apprised of the aims and objectives of the CPGS, and informed about the CPGS mega-projects, “SALAM: Innovating Means to Resolve Radical Extremism in Pakistan”, “JOHAR: Nuclear Non-Proliferation, Arms Control and Disarmament: Contemporary Challenges and Prospects” and the “Foreign Policy Series”. They were also briefed about the roundtables conducted by the Centre.
In addition, the delegates were informed about the Centre’s upcoming events which comprise a Roundtable on “Pakistan & Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO): Building Common Understanding” and a Two-Days International Seminar titled, “Global Action Plan: Countering Violent Extremism”.
The members of the National Media Workshop appreciated the Centre’s achievements.
