Islamabad, September 12: The First Secretary (Political) Ms. Katherine Smitton from the British High Commission, visited the Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies (CPGS) today. In her visit, she was briefed by the President CPGS, Senator Sehar Kamran (T.I.) about the Centre’s ongoing projects. Ms. Katherine Smitton took a special interest in CPGS’s ongoing projects, especially SALAM: Innovating Means to Resolve Radical Extremism in Pakistan. She was also briefed on the CPGS policy guidelines to counter the menace of terrorism in Pakistan. Ms. Smitton appreciated and praised the President CPGS and her team on their achievements despite the Centre’s short period of functioning.
Ms. Katherine Smitton and Senator Sehar Kamran also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and agreed to cooperate in projects of mutual interest and benefit.
