A cooperation agreement was signed between King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies and the Center for Pakistan and Gulf Studies. The agreement aims to exchange expertise, researches between the two centers, participation in programs, exchange of researchers and to participate in conferences and seminars.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Yahya bin Junaid, Secretary- General of ” the King Faisal Center” and President of ” Center for Pakistan and Gulf Studies ” Senator Mrs. Sehar Kamran during a signing ceremony held at the headquarters of the first in Riyadh.
The center has been concluded nearly fifty partnership agreements with several institutes and universities from different parts of the world, mostly pertaining humanities and specialized strategic studies.
The outcome of these agreements comes after the center has taken responsibility of heed and siege with different countries of the world, in order to build rich and diverse partnerships with them. The fruits of these partnerships bring the whole region in general and the Kingdom in particular, with wealth of knowledge in different sectors and new industries, which contributed significantly to the development of specialized studies in the area recently .
Dr. Bin Junaid has confirmed that these partnerships are an extension of the successes of Center in various fields , saying: “We took the responsibility of studies field development in the region , so we proceeded to double the number of these partnerships quickly and significantly, and we extended hand of cooperation to the world , and created a line cognitively joint that contributes in the human development. “
Dr. bin Junaid stressed on the mechanisms for selecting partners , saying: ” Our standards are universal and accurate in these agreements. The Center should not have partnerships with those entities which do not apply internationally recognized standards i.e. objectivity, neutrality and other elements. These standards enable us to sort out the bodies before entering into any partnerships or collaborations .”
” We must verify that these partnerships will run parallel with the objectives of the Center, which stands mainly on contribution to highlight the role of Islamic civilization and what it delivered to mankind in various fields, characterized it from the other civilizations throughout the ages as well as its support for scientific research and development on a scientific basis in all areas related to studies and Islamic civilization “, the Secretary-General of the center added.
It is worth mentioning that the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies , a body of scientific research, aimed to provide scientific activity in the field of Islamic studies, humanities through library, researches of the Center, cultural lectures, seminars and periodical publications.
